Dr. Kucharski volunteers with many different organizations. She is a Board member of the Bodhi Tree Foundation which promotes womens health issues in Nepal. Dr. Kucharski, along with 9 other local women treked through Humla, Nepal to promote womens health care. She spent 4 weeks traveling and working in local hospitals and health care posts. Humla is currently the poorest and most remote region in Nepal boarding Tibet. Dr. Kucharski will be returning in 2010 to continue working with the Bodhi Tree Foundation promoting women’s health. We have a photo album in our office of Dr. Kucharski’s 2008 trip.
Every year Dr. Kucharski rides her bicycle from San Francisco to Los Angeles (575 miles)! She began participating in the AidsLifeCycle in 2007. This ride is typically the first week of June and helps to raise awareness, education and prevention of HIV the San Francisco and Los Angeles areas. During this week, Dr. Kucharski rides between 55 – 100 miles each day, camping at night along the way.
Dr. Kucharski is also a supporter of the Humane Society of Truckee-Tahoe. Currently Dr. Kucharski has three dogs – a pug named Buddy, a Chihuahua named Annabel, and her newest addition Marley, a Lab-mix.
